Overall: If I had known this hotel was not modern and well decorated I would not have booked it. The other delegates stayed at the Caledonian where I met them and it was like night and day. |

The hotel was situated in the centre of town, but my room was very quiet. It was also clean and comfortable |

Overall: Before I booked, I noticed from other people's reviews that the rooms were on the second floor, so I was warned about the fact that there is no lift. Apart from that everything was just what I wanted. |

Breathtaking view, convienance for next stage of travel.The staff were extremely kind and helful. |
If I had been staying for more than one night I would have preferred A non smoking policy as the bedroom smelt of smoke. The general decor was very dated and verging on shabby. |
Overall: The star level of the hotel indicated what to expect so my main hope was a friendly attitude from the staff, which I received. |

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.
How do I add a rating?
Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.
All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.
How do you manage to collect so many ratings?
48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day. |
